The choir is open to any student who loves to sing in any grade.  Enthusiasm for singing counts more than that elusive “I have a good voice” label.

First semester Choir students prepare music the Christmas concert in early December, as well as the Mini-concert we perform for the Bishop when he comes for Mass the last day before Christmas break.

Second Semester Choir competes at the MSVMA District Festival in March, and performs at the Spring Concert (which is the first Wednesday in May) as well as at the Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation.

Students can take Choir one semester or a full year and can opt to elect the class as often as they like.

Madrigals is an audition only Honors Choir open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors.  Auditions are held in early March for the upcoming school year.

The Madrigals sing and perform year round.  We sing at each school Mass as well as all the school concerts, but we also have a substantial service outreach with a focus on the elderly.  We sing at retirement communities, nursing homes, and elder care centers.  Each year, you can also find us singing at weddings of members of the FGR family as well as a mass or two at our feeder parishes.

We compete at MSVMA Districts in March and have qualified for States every year since 2007.  On even numbered years we also journey to Disney World for a competition and we are the proud owners of 6 Golden Mickeys.
