The Father Gabriel Richard High School Reopening Task Force has finalized its plan for welcoming students to the 2020 – 2021 school year. The plan provides details for a return to campus for students while also providing an online option.
“Irish on Campus” features a schedule which reduces the number of passing times per week and provides opportunities for faculty to hold office hours. It also allows for additional building cleaning time.
“Irish Online” will deliver curricular opportunities with the same great teachers as in the classroom and allow online students to keep pace with their peers on campus.
This plan was developed by the fifteen-person task force in consultation with the Diocese of Lansing, the Washtenaw County Health Department, and health care professionals after in-depth study of the MI Safe Schools Roadmap published by Governor Whitmer’s office and numerous other resources to ensure the implementation of best practices for a safe return to school.
