David Kendzicky Legacy Scholarship Fund

David Kendzicky lived his life in service to others and with a heart filled with generosity. FGR was a grateful recipient of Mr. Kendzicky’s time, talent, and treasure during his many years as an FGR parent, board member, and coach. The David P. Kendzicky Scholarship was created by the many who benefited from Mr. Kendzicky’s faith, friendship and leadership to continue his legacy of generous giving and to extend his love for FGR.

This scholarship has been established to honor Mr. Kendzicky and his dedication to FGR’s students and athletes.

The scholarship will award two $2,500 awards each year, renewable annually.

Scholarship is open to students who:

• Have and maintain a 3.2 GPA or higher;
• Participate in at least one sport or two clubs;
• Perform a minimum 6 hours of service per year outside of school; and
• Demonstrate a financial need for tuition assistance.

The funds raised will be established in an endowment with The Catholic Foundation of Lansing. The $2,500 annual scholarship would be awarded to two students in each grade for a total disbursement of $20,000 per year, contingent upon maintaining a minimum endowment of $500,000. The disbursement may increase or decrease based on the size of the endowment.
