STUDENT LIFE
Households
Households
New in the 2022-2023 school year, Households exist to foster holy and healthy relationships within the school community. The entire community, including faculty and staff, is divided among the four Households. Students are further divided into House Groups that are single-sex but integrated among grade levels to foster personal relationships among varying students. Each House Group is assigned two Student Leaders and Faculty Mentor. Your Student Leaders will lead your House Group in activities and discussions and be a resource and role model for you.
House Group and Household activities take place every Thursday during the school day and some House Groups may choose to gather at other times during the week. Your House Group and Household will provide you with a fun and unique experience.

Dean Jerry Morrissey
Virtue Charity
Apparition Dates December 9-12, 1531
The Blessed Mother appeared to St. Juan
Diego in Guadalupe, Mexico, instructing
him to ask the bishop to build a church
at the apparition site. As proof of her
appearance, St. Juan Diego picked a batch
of out-of-season roses and carried them
in his tilma. While presenting them to
the bishop, his tilma was imprinted with
the image we know today as Our Lady of
Guadalupe.
“Am I not here, who am your mother?”
Champion House
Dean Elizabeth Champion
Virtue Humility
Apparition Dates October 9 -17, 1859
The Blessed Mother appeared three
times to Adele Brise in Champion, WI,
appearing between a maple and a hemlock
tree each time. After Adele dared not
approach on the first two appearances,
Mary spoke to Adele during the third
and final apparition. She called herself
the “Queen of Heaven who prays for the
conversion of sinners,” and she instructed
Adele to teach others the Catechism, how
make the sign of the Cross, and how to
approach the sacraments.
“Go and fear nothing; I will help you.”
Lourdes House
Dean Clint Robert

Apparition Dates February 11 – July 16, 1858
The Blessed Mother appeared 18 times to St.
Bernadette in Lourdes, France. During these
visits she referred to herself as the Immaculate
Conception, and she encouraged St.
Bernadette to offer prayer and penance
for the conversion of sinners. Our Lady of
Lourdes also had her dig at the site to reveal
a pond which has become the source of
healing for many pilgrims to this day.
“Penance! Penance! Penance! Pray to God
for sinners!”

November 28, 1989
The Blessed Mother appeared many
times in Kibeho, Rwanda over 8 years
to 3 children – Alphonsine Mumureke,
Nathalie Mukamazimpaka, and Marie
Claire Mukangango. During these visits
she identified herself as the “Mother of the
Word,” which is synonymous with that of
the title “Mother of God.” She encouraged
the children to spread the word that
whenever she appears to certain members
of the Church, she is speaking not just to
them, but to the whole world.
“A child of Mary does not reject suffering.”
