Catholic Schools Week 2019

Sponsored by National Catholic Education Association (NCEA), Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. Schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to Church, local communities and the nation. This year’s theme is Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.

FGR’s Student Council has prepared a fun week of activities to celebrate CSW 2019, which begins Monday, January 28.

MondayCelebrating Where We Come From: Students will wear shirts representing their middle schools, parishes, or retreats that they have attended. All students, faculty, and staff will enjoy a PowderPuff Volleyball Game in the gym.

TuesdayCelebrating Where We Are Going: Students will dress in spirit wear from the college of their choice or an outfit representing a career they are aspiring to. Students, faculty and staff will pray a Divine Mercy Chaplet

WednesdayCelebrating Vocations: Students will be in regular uniform as we will celebrate our All-School Mass.

ThursdayCelebrating Our Nation: God Bless America:  Students will dress in red, white, and blue and patriotic themed clothing.

FridayCelebrating Our Teachers and Staff: Students may dress up as one of the participating teachers. There will be a list of participants from which to choose. Students will entertain us in the Talent Show to wrap up the week.
