Thank you to all who participated in FGR’s first annual student-led Car Raffle! Thank you, in particular to Tom Butman ’05, general manager of Gene Butman Ford in Ypsilanti, for his generous donation of a two-year lease on a Ford Bronco Sport! Without his gift, there would have been no raffle. To show our appreciation to Tom and the entire Gene Butman team, please consider them for your next vehicle purchase or lease, or your next service need, and tell them we sent you. You will not be disappointed!

We are thrilled to announce that the winner of the Ford Bronco Sport is a 21-year-old college student and Air Force National Guardsman who has recently been having a lot of car trouble. The winner serves in the same unit as and is a good friend of Mr. Fitzgerald, one of our math teachers, our bowling/ski/lacrosse coach, and an FGR alum. Thank you, Mr. Fitzgerald for selling the winning ticket! The second and third place winners were both current FGR dads who purchased tickets from their daughters.

Because of our students’ efforts, over $70,000 in tickets were sold! This student-led sales model raised more than double what our previous raffles that used non-student-led sales models raised and showed great school spirit and energy.
Our top 5 sellers were recognized and awarded prizes.

The net proceeds from this years’ raffle will be put towards our plans to redo the landscaping by the main entrance and/or refresh the sanctuary in the chapel.
